Winning At Image Editing: This “King Of Photoshop” Changed People’s Photos With Hilarious Results

A theme with James’ work is that he takes people’s requests very, very literally. All this guy wanted was for James to remove the watermark from the photo. And to be fair, that’s exactly what he did! We’re sure the dude in the photo had expected his mouth to survive the process, though. 

Photoshop is a great tool for making blemishes and photo bombers disappear... if you use it for good, that is. James, on the other hand, just loves to use the editing program for evil, as evidenced by this woman’s potential profile pic. We could almost hear him cackling as he turned this photo bomber’s head into a rock.

James isn’t only good at manipulating photos. He can also manipulate time and space! That’s the only explanation behind how this woman went from 17 years old to 71. But we’re sure lots of people would rather him de-age their photo rather than the other way around...

This guy looks like he lives on the edge. He wanted James to make him appear more “dangerous,” and we gotta say that we’re feeling a little threatened! There’s just something about sandals that make us feel super nervous. And the tube socks?! It doesn’t get much wilder than that. 

This woman feared that the fun drink in front of her made the shot “clumsy,” so she asked James to remove it. Actually, her exact words were to “remove the glass” — so maybe she should have been a little more specific. We don’t think the spilled drink helps her avoid looking clumsy!

This girl wanted her formal photo to be a bit classier, and James clearly obliged. What’s classier than a stack of greasy pizza boxes? And we don’t know about you, but nothing screams “prom queen” quite like khaki pants and a baby blue Domino’s shirt. If she brought all those pizzas to her prom, she’d definitely win the crown! 

Vegetarians, be warned! James did not come to play with this edit. What could have been an adorable picture of a girl with some cows has been transformed into a horror flick… for the cows, that is. It’s no wonder they’re standing so far away from the girl. And that steak brings a whole new meaning to her happy grin…

Why erase part of a photo when you can add to it? That’s clearly James’ motto, as this edited photo shows. This woman asked the king of Photoshop to erase the stair rail from the photo, but he decided to take the photo in a different direction. An upside-down watering can is way more fun!

Sometimes, James’ photoshopping skills are downright scary. Take this photo, for example. The woman asked James to edit the photo so that it didn’t look like she was “missing an arm,” but James obliged by taking both arms out of the equation. Eagle-eyed folk may notice something else missing from the table, too…

All this slightly awkward photo of a woman and her boyfriend needed was for someone to photoshop them standing a bit closer together. Unfortunately for them, the “someone” who photoshopped the pic was James — meaning the result was even more awkward than the original! 

“Could you make the city more in focus?” this guy asked James. “Sure,” James replied, but if you think that “sure” was anything other than sarcastic, then you haven’t been paying attention. This guy’s favorite photo of himself turned into a gorgeous photo of the city with a blurry blob in the foreground.

The lengths some people go to for a good photo are mind-boggling. This family’s first attempt at a pic went wrong when the phone was placed too close to the ground. But their second attempt through James was arguably more misguided! They should’ve stuck with the first one.

A woman asked James if he could photoshop her and her boyfriend onto a picture of a garden, and he did just that. If only you could see them! Sometimes, James’ humor is pretty on the nose, but in this case, he’s all about the tiny details. 

Couples with drastic differences in height will always be charming — and funny, if James has anything to say about it. We understand wanting to make themselves look closer in size, but there’s an easier way to do that than by digging a hole. Now his suit is ruined! 

Is this an edited photo, or a glimpse into a world where humans have destroyed the environment? It’s possible the message James is trying to send isn’t quite as deep as we’re imagining, but the result is still chilling. Maybe the girl should just keep the guy watering plants for the sake of all mankind. 

A little wind can ruin an otherwise romantic photo. Thankfully, James knew exactly how to get around this particular inconvenient gust. Now, no one ever has to know just how windy it was that day. One look at this pic, and they’ll probably have a much different question in mind… 

These two came prepared with a green screen and still got burned by James’ Photoshop skills. We hope this happy couple had a fun time at the homecoming dance! And by “happy couple,” we’re obviously talking about the kid and the green screen.

If you want to seem “more metal” — so, more dangerous and threatening — you probably shouldn’t ask James to spice up your look. This band learned that lesson the hard way when their request ended up with them as understudies for The Wizard of Oz. 

For some reason, this woman asked James if he would add a bag to her right hand. The one he chose may not be the height of fashion, but, hey, we think it looks pretty great! Just think of how much she could probably fit in that garbage bag. And with the beautiful dumpster background, she’s clearly in the right place. 

Thanks to James, this lovely photo of a young couple is now something much weirder. In fact, they look less like a couple and more like siblings with a random guy thrown into the mix. We can only hope that the random guy is good friends with that girl. Otherwise, he deserves a kick to the shin. 

The guys in this photo thought, “You know what would make this pic even cooler? A thunderstorm!” They’re not wrong: an awesome lightning strike that destroys half the dock is indisputably cooler than the original pic. We can only hope that in James’ version of events, the guys weren’t standing on the dock when the bolt came down!

The dapper gentleman on the right hoped James could photoshop this pic so that he’s standing alone. Well, he got what he asked for... he just has to squint to see it! Never has a photo captured the specific feeling of FOMO — fear of missing out — quite like this. It’s all over his tiny, blurry face.

It’s safe to say this woman meant a different kind of boxer, but, hey, this isn’t exactly a bad turn of events! Who wouldn’t want this adorable dog?! Sure, in a perfect world, the boyfriend, girlfriend, and dog would live happily ever after. But this is James’ twisted world; we’re just living in it. 

There’s nothing more irritating than when your ex is in an otherwise flattering photo of you. All this girl wanted was for James to remove her former flame from the pic, but we don’t think she expected him to replace her boyfriend with a man-shaped bush! We think they make a pretty cute couple, though.

Ahh!! This person asked James to make the background of the photo scarier, and that’s exactly what he did. Now it looks like she and a green-faced Grim Reaper are about to stroll through a haunted forest full of adult responsibilities. Gasp! We can’t bear to look!

This guy looks a little like a deer in headlights, and it’s easy to see why. We doubt he expected his nice, normal suit to transform into something much snazzier. Honestly, we kind of like the new look, even if James meant it to be a joke. The guy on the right seems as though he could be the life of the party! 

What a nice photo of the bride and groom! It would be a real shame if something — or someone — were to ruin it. Right, James? As the king of Photoshop hilariously shows, there are worse things than a pesky pole being in the middle of a picture. Say, for example, the entire tent collapsing on the newlyweds...

A word of warning: when you ask James to “fix” a photo for you, make sure you specify exactly what you mean by “fix.” But we happen to love the way he edited this photo. This man and Darth Vader make an adorable pair.

A shiver just went down our spines as we looked at this photo. This guy is truly bad to the bone. We definitely wouldn’t want to meet him in a dark alley with his dangerous fanny pack and terrifying unicorn tattoo. And the way he’s grinning at his rule-breaking behavior is downright scary! 

If anyone deserves a laugh these days, it’s healthcare workers! And as this fun pic shows, James is totally capable of replacing the sarcastic Photoshop jokes with more lighthearted ones. Masks like these should exist in real life. We could all use more smiles!

Did Calvin Klein himself sponsor this Photoshop job? Because this poor girl can’t seem to escape the designer’s logo no matter what she does. Just when she thought James would be able to cut the logo out of the pic, he goes and “reveals” a Calvin Klein tattoo on her boyfriend’s chest. Now that’s brand loyalty.

We don’t think anyone will forget the life-changing pandemic anytime soon, but this couple wanted to honor the bizarre moment in time by wearing face masks in their wedding photos. And the king of Photoshop delivered — just not as the couple probably expected. We can practically hear James saying “Somebody stop me!” as we type.

Hot take: we think this photo of the girl with the sun in her face is actually kind of cool. Nevertheless, she wanted to crop out the sun rays — and, of course, James took her request to the extreme. “No more sun for you,” he replied. And seeing as she transformed into a snow lady in the edited photo, she really hasn’t gotten any sun for a while. 

James isn’t just adept at editing photos. Oh no; he’s also a storyteller. In this work of art, the story is tragic: the girl, fed up with her smiley boyfriend, dumps him for the older man in the background. This leaves the boyfriend to sulk behind the newly happy couple. Give James a Pulitzer! 

This is exactly why you should try to love yourself the way you are! This girlfriend’s attempt to make her boyfriend’s feet look smaller (who even notices that?) was foiled with a quick edit by James. His feet look positively tiny next to hers! Consider this a lesson learned. 

Sometimes, James is like a genie. If you’re not specific about what you want, then you’re going to end up paying for it. When this girl asked James to remove the boy in the background from behind her head, he did just that… by removing her head entirely. As James himself said, this edit was “a no-brainer.” 

This woman isn’t wrong. The photo really does show a beautiful morning! All she wanted was for James to zoom in a bit on the pic so that both she and the picturesque view were in the shot. Well, he zoomed, alright… and zoomed… and zoomed…

Sometimes, it’s the simplest edits that make the biggest impact. This is a perfect example of how James’ Photoshop talents can be used for good and for evil. He could’ve just cropped the lamp out of the photo, but no! Instead, we get a glorious visual joke for the ages. 

Another day, another person who just wasn’t specific enough about what they wanted James to edit. If this woman has anyone to blame for her boyfriend’s grisly transformation, it’s herself! She should have asked James to erase the guy who wasn’t clutching her waist. You live and you learn! 

You know what they say: Shrek makes everything better! James certainly had this in mind when this girl asked him to add “a little more green” to the photo. We’re sure she’d have preferred more trees or plants in the background, but having Shrek himself there takes the photo from average to amazing.
