Animals That Found Themselves In Adorably Compromising Situations

We'd like to think our pets are perfect little angels, but that's far from the truth. After all, the moment you turn a blind eye, animals get up to all sorts of mischief. Naturally, this behavior (or rather, misbehavior) leads to adorable creatures getting stuck in all sorts of compromising positions. Let's take a look at some hilarious photos that will make you think, "How did these animals end up here in the first place?"

Musical chairs

Most of the time, when humans get stuck in a chair, panic ensues. But even without help from the fire department, this dog did not panic, unlike most of his human counterparts. In fact, judging by this canine's adorable smile, he didn't mind his new accessory one bit!

"Oh, you're home early"

While cats pride themselves on reaching high places without a hitch, this feline wasn't so lucky when she tried to leap through a window. To add to the embarrassment, her owners arrived home just in time to take this amusing photo! At least she had someone to help her out of the blinds' grasp.

Be kind, rewind

After looking at this photo, there are two pressing questions that come to mind. Firstly, what on earth is a frog doing there? Secondly, who still owns a VHS player? Judging by the frog's decision to pop his head inside, he was also bamboozled by the sight of such an ancient device!

Extreme hide and seek

This little dog thought that it would be fun to stress out her owners by hiding under the sofa. After checking every other spot in the house, this couple flipped over their sofa and found her in an embarrassing position. It seems like the joke was on her!

A slippery fashion sense

While snakes are normally viewed as dangerous, this slippery fellow doesn't seem as intimidating with a beer can on his head. By the looks of it, even snakes can have one too many drinks!

Instant regret

Based on their ability to seemingly always land on their feet, cats are renowned for their athletic prowess. Unfortunately, this furry guy didn't quite get the memo! Fortunately, his owners arrived just in time to get him out of this pickle.

Time is not of the essence

As the ultimate couch potatoes, few dogs will pass up the chance to be totally lazy. As you can see, this bulldog is so unmotivated that he couldn't even compel himself to fully jump off the sofa!

Bath time

This curious puppy thought that it would be a good idea to join the dishes for a quick wash. While this move is certainly not recommended, a least his owners will save on their next grooming bill!

Say cheese!

This little cat named Sharon thought that it would be a good idea to test her reflexes. Unfortunately, her experiment didn't go exactly according to plan. Hopefully, when they said that "curiosity killed the cat," they didn't mean it literally!

Naptime

When it comes to catching up on sleep, this puppy is not the slightest bit fussy! No bed, blankets, or pillows are necessary for this young canine — just a surface to lie on, along with some form of headrest.

A cry for help

This little elephant was minding her own business when, suddenly, she fell into an enormous well. Fortunately, her trumpeting alerted the local villagers that she was stuck. Without hesitation, a rescue team dug down and reunited the calf with her mother.

The best seat in the house

This pup has been spending a little too much time observing his human parents' behavior! Here, we see him attempting to sit in an upright position on the couch, using the two cushions for support. Perhaps something on the TV caught his eye?

Time to cut the carbs

When this lizard ate his latest meal, he sure didn't expect to put on so much weight that he wouldn't be able to fit through this hole. Soon enough, a human being stumbled upon the reptile and jotted down this humorous message. But fear not, as after a swift rescue and a few belly rubs, this critter was merrily on his way!

No stretching required

It's safe to say that few humans or dogs are as supple as this boisterous French bulldog! But the question remains — while he managed to get himself into this awkward position, how on earth did he wiggle his way out?

A little close for comfort

After a long day of doing dog stuff, this enormous pooch decided that the time had come to sit back and relax on the couch. Unfortunately for him, the living room was a tighter squeeze than he may have first imagined!

At least the rent is free here!

This adorable dog thought for some reason that it would be a good idea to jump into a bush. What he didn't bank on, however, was the bush swallowing him whole! At least with a smile that big, this furry canine found the whole situation far more amusing than tragic.

Netflix and chill

By the looks of it, whenever his human family relaxed on the couch, this pug took some serious notes! One day, when the sofa was vacant, this little guy decided that he would take full advantage of the comfortable piece of furniture.

Animal Control to the rescue!

During the summer heat, this rat popped up to the surface for a breath of fresh air when he got caught in a drain cover. Fortunately, German Animal Control sprung to action, freeing him from his entrapment and enabling him to return to the sewer, where he could continue training the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

What are you sinking about?

This dog seems to have made the mistake of confusing the kitchen sink with a chair. But so long as no one is in need of doing the dishes, it's all good.

When all hope is lost

Judging by his pose, this puppy is going through similar emotions to those people who have had such a busy day that all they want to do is drop everything they're doing and flop onto the sofa. We feel you, dog (excuse the pun)!

Shark bait

Sure, taking a photo inside of a (thankfully, fake) great white shark's mouth might've seemed like a good idea at the time. Soon enough, though, he's gonna have to climb out from the clutches of those sharp teeth. Let's hope he can doggy paddle his way to safety.

Grub-hub

This is what happens when the lizard people start to gentrify the muddy swamps. The corporate lizards open a Whole Foods, and suddenly you're stuck buying artisanal insects for $9.99 a pound. Sheesh!

Morning commute

This gorilla clearly would prefer a job that's closer to his home in the mountains of central Africa. That way he wouldn't have to get up so early, or spend half the day in rush hour traffic.

Sweet tooth

"I guess this is what happens when I don't listen to my owner and I decide I want to have some chocolate. I'll be sure to take them from a bowl next time. In the meantime, would anyone mind giving me a hand getting out of here?"

Taste the rainbow

This is what happens when you follow the rainbow a little too far. Your dreams come crashing down when you can't quite find the pot o' gold. That's going to be pretty difficult to wash out of her fur, don't you think?

That's a wrap

That's certainly one effective alarm clock! No way on Earth you'll ever be able to sleep through a dog popping bubble wrap. Still, you have to consider that the dog is not too thrilled about this...

Melonhead

"I just wanted to help my owner prepare for the barbecue they're having in the backyard this afternoon. To be honest, I don't even know how it went this far. I blacked out for a little while."

Hot dog!

"I said I wanted to eat hot dogs for lunch, not become one myself! I guess I'll learn to be more specific when I ask for something to eat next time. Welp... someone might as well pass me the mustard while I'm sitting here."

One gross bird bath

Well, that's certainly one way to get clean. "I thought this was a bird bath, but something tells me I've only gotten dirtier since I got in this thing. Hey, did someone press the flush button? Help me out, please!"

Up on the rooftop

15. This is exactly why dogs are not allowed to climb like their feline counterparts. "Huh, I guess I never thought about getting down. That sure is a heck of a long way. Would someone down there mind lending me a hand—er, paw?"

What a view

This mountain lion must've thought she was visiting the Space Needle in Seattle. "I didn't know they were so being so literal when named this skyscraper. Yeah, it's definitely a great view, but getting down could be a bit... prickly."

On edge

So much for trying to get the best view of the city. "I always wondered what it would be like to stand on the other side of the window! I have to say, I like it much more inside than I do standing on this tiny window sill."

Art imitates life

They say that you are what you eat, but who knew that they really meant it? On the bright side, breaking through the matrix might mean this cat has access to unlimited Meow Mix.

Slice surfer

We've heard of duck-topped pizza, but this is ridiculous! Well, if you spot another bird surfing an entire cheese pie, there's a good chance you've found this duckling's father!

Peek-a-boo

Did you really think you could put ol' Stanley here in the back seat and not expect him to have separation anxiety? "Please let me sit on your lap while you drive," says that squishy face. "I promise I won't drool too much!"

Melon heaven

If there was ever a breed called a melon hound, we'd bet this dog would be one. Either he really loves the refreshing taste of a summer fruit salad, or those watermelons are giving him quite the chiropractic workout!

Lying in wait

Without a doubt, this cat has vengeance on her mind. Maybe someone forgot to fill her food bowl this morning, or her owner accidentally tossed out one of her favorite toys. Whatever the case, definitely keep your distance from this fiery feline.

Taste test

Nothing to see here: just a dog playing with his panther friend. Wait... panther? Hopefully, he's just licking some snow off his pal's head, instead of, you know, tasting his next meal...

Handle with love

If that's not the cutest package we've ever seen, then we don't know what is. All we know is that if this kitty wants to be handled with love, it definitely shouldn't go anywhere near a U.S. post office. BOOM! Roasted.

Ruffing it

And speaking of roasting, will someone please pass Fido here a marshmallow? He's been waiting out all night for some s'mores. After that, he's off to put his comfiest pajamas on before heading into his tent for a snooze.

Lending a hand

When this lizard asked if someone could "lend a hand," most people figured he needed some help — not a place to sleep! Then again, look how peaceful he's snoozing away. It's probably best if this guy just learns to live using only his other hand.

An apple a day

You know what they say: an apple a day keeps the vet away! Somebody better tell this fruit lover to take smaller bites, though, or else he might be headed to the vet anyway with one wicked tummy ache.

Beautiful meow-sic

Some pianists can play with their eyes closed, others with just their toes — this musician is what we'd call a "tooth player." Her favorite song to play is "Hot Crossed Buns," though that usually just winds up making her hungry.

A very hangry squirrel

We’ve heard of being “hangry,” but this is next level! This poor little guy hasn’t eaten since his breakfast of acorns and berries, and he’s starting to get a little irritated. If all we ate was nuts and fruit, we’d be in a bad mood, too.

Puppy-coon eyes

Who could refuse those sweet puppy dog — or raccoon — eyes?! We never knew that a trash-eating raccoon could ever convince us to cuddle on the couch. Judging from his guilty stance, he may not be this homeowner’s favorite pet. But those adorable peepers certainly warm our hearts!

The party animal

“Did someone say party?” We know a party animal when we see one, and this tiny snake is one of them. Just don’t let him get too wild; the last time that happened, a bunch of guests ended up with snake bites. Maybe we should leave him off the guest list this time…

The lawn mower family

After a long day of cutting the lawn, the last thing this homeowner expected to find in the lawnmower bag was an entire possum family! We can tell from her fierce eyes that this mama marsupial would do anything to protect her babies...even if it means a bumpy ride in a lawnmower!

Unsuccessful dive bomb

Aaaand he doesn’t quite stick the landing. We’re not even really sure what’s going on here, but we do know that the legs are supposed to be under the water, not on top! Maybe the swan saw a particularly delicious-looking fish and simply had to dive-bomb into the water.

The uninvited guest

Imagine looking out your window at sunrise, all excited to see if any little sparrows have nibbled at the bird feeder, when suddenly you see this. No one invited a wild turkey to the tiny bird breakfast! We’re gonna need a bigger birdhouse.

Just chillin'

This guy doesn’t look freaked out by having a camera in his face. In fact, he might just be the most relaxed creature we’ve ever seen. We don’t think anything could get in the way of this toad and an afternoon nap, not even a pesky photographer.
