Here’s How Your Favorite Celebs Are Going To Grow Old, According To Aging Apps

Digital aging platforms such as FaceApp are awesome if you’re not vain. Just upload a picture of your face, and find out what you’ll look like when you’re old and gray! But if you’re not prepared for that shock just yet, you can still join in the fun. You can see what your favorite stars will look like in their later years — and sometimes, it’s a real wake-up call.

40. Kylie Jenner

Will we really see Kylie Jenner grow old before our eyes? Well, if Instagram is still a thing in 2070, then probably! Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans have already watched her go from a pre-teen to the businesswoman, influencer, and mother we know now. And judging by this aging snap, she’ll still look good in makeup.

39. Dwayne Johnson

It isn’t Dwayne Johnson’s aged face that’s the standout here but the tremendous rippling muscles! Honestly, we struggle to imagine the wrestling-star-turned-Hollywood-A-lister without them. And we bet you: one day, he’ll be the world’s most badass granddad.

38. Adele

Adele’s already changed quite a lot in the public eye. She’s slimmed down considerably — mainly, it seems, through a change in her diet. And if the British star sticks with her new look, she may just resemble the image on the right when she’s older.

37. Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart is one of the many celebs who eventually got curious about the whole FaceApp thing. He downloaded it himself and then posted an aged-up picture to social media, commenting on his “old-man face and upper body.” And fans loved it. Some of them even claimed that Hart looked like Morgan Freeman!

36. Billie Eilish

Will Billie Eilish keep her different hair colors as she ages? We’d struggle to imagine her with gray hair, and indeed FaceApp didn’t even try. But it did give us what seems like a pretty accurate look at an older Eilish, and she looks like the coolest aging pop star ever.

35. Ariana Grande

As her fans will know, Ariana Grande takes good care of her skin. She once revealed on Instagram that she uses La Mer face masks to keep her complexion young and glowy. So, this estimation of how Grande might look in a few decades’ time seems pretty accurate. There’s no doubt she’ll always have those lovely, thick locks, though, right?

34. Kaley Cuoco

Want to know one of Kaley Cuoco’s simplest beauty tips? Avoid sunburn! She told Woman’s Day magazine in 2020, “Sunscreen immediately. You even have to do it when it’s cloudy out, that’s where people don’t think you need it, but sunscreen always.” In the future, then, she probably will indeed have the clear skin depicted on the right here.

33. Kim Kardashian

Believe it or not, reality superstar Kim Kardashian worries about getting old. She told The Cut magazine in 2017, “[Aging] just sucks. There’s no easy way. [But] I would take aging over not being here.” Based on what FaceApp predicted, though, she might not have much to worry about appearance-wise.

32. Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence quipped in a 2015 Hunger Games press conference, “I try to keep working so people can see other characters and other things I can do instead of taking vacation time, and now I’m aging like a president.” So, there you go, that person on the right is what President Lawrence might look like!

31. Chris Evans

If you’ve seen Avengers: Endgame then you’ll know — spoiler alert! — that Chris Evans’ Captain America is an old man by the end. We’ll have to wait a long time to learn whether or not the visual effects team got it right, especially since Cap is supposed to be a whopping 106 years old in the movie. But in the meantime, here’s FaceApp’s prediction.

30. Priyanka Chopra

Actress Priyanka Chopra is older than she looks. The star is in her late thirties at the time of writing, and she’s actually ten years older than husband Nick Jonas. Though you’d never guess it to look at her. And, honestly, even when digitally aged up with FaceApp, Chopra doesn’t really look all that elderly.

29. Emma Stone

Emma Stone’s a very lucky person; put a photo of her into FaceApp, and barely anything changes! Yes, she gains a few wrinkles, but that’s about it. And the blonde hair — did you know that’s actually her natural hair color? — suits Stone perfectly. It’s alright for some, isn’t it?

28. Rihanna

Like so many women before and after her, Rihanna worries about aging. She said to Vogue magazine in 2018, “Okay, so now that I’m 30, are there things I’m supposed to do? Should I be worried? Should I be freezing my eggs? What do you do at 30?!” She seems to be doing just fine, though. And really, who’s even going to tell her how she should age?

27. Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer is one of many celebrities who decided to try out FaceApp for herself. Well, sort of; when she did the FaceApp challenge, the comedian posted a picture of a sea lion instead. But it’s probably safe to say that’s not gonna happen. In fact, according to the real no-sea-lions-allowed FaceApp, she’s barely going to change at all as she gets older!

26. Paul Rudd

The internet is full of memes about how actor Paul Rudd doesn’t age. He’s even in on the joke, telling journalists at the 2019 Clueless reunion, “I’m 80 years old on the inside. In here, pure darkness — and a little moisturizer.” Though he’s got to age someday, right? Maybe, then, he’ll look a bit like this.

25. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez just has a really young-looking face when all’s said and done. Cosmopolitan magazine even ran a headline in 2020 reading, “Selena Gomez appears to be defying the laws of aging in makeup-free selfies.” The star is wearing makeup here, but honestly, she’s still kind of defying the laws of getting older.

24. Tom Holland

Will we ever see Tom Holland play an older Spider-Man? Well, his Marvel contract supposedly ran out after Spider-Man: No Way Home, so who really knows for sure? Yet the star has indicated that he’d be happy to return to the role if ever needed, so perhaps one day we’ll see an elderly Holland suiting up on screen.

23. Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj told The Sun newspaper in 2014, “I don’t really worry [about getting older]. However, I do take good care of my body. I drink water to help with my complexion, watch what I eat, and I really try to live a healthy lifestyle.” We do hope she keeps the bright hair as she ages!

22. Katy Perry

Katy Perry has an anti-aging plan that not too many others are likely to try. She told Australian radiohost Smallzy Tuesday in 2019, “Especially as you get older and you have longer hangovers you realize the cells in [your] body are dying. I did this thing called Panca Karma, it stems from India and it’s basically Ayurvedic eating and cleansing, you do lots of enemas.” C’mon Perry, just accept it.

21. Gigi Hadid

Supermodel Gigi Hadid has been putting up with body shamers for a long time now. Apparently, she’s either overweight or too thin for internet trolls. Almost inevitably, the talent is going to get “too old!” insults at some point. But based on how FaceApp thinks an older Hadid will look, aging probably won’t affect her beauty career much.

20. Justin Bieber

Among Justin Bieber’s many tattoos, there’s one that reads “Better at 70.” The Canadian star got it in 2017 at the age of 23, and at the time he wrote on Instagram, “I look back at a lot of things in my life, mistakes, insecurities, and although I have felt I’ve wasted a lot of time it also makes me want to be better faster! For me personally, I want to work everyday to be better at 70.” And here’s what he might look like then.

19. Beyoncé

Apparently, Beyoncé’s totally fine with aging now. She told Elle magazine in 2019, “If someone told me 15 years ago that my body would go through so many changes and fluctuations, and that I would feel more womanly and secure with my curves, I would not have believed them.” Of course, it probably goes without saying that she’s bound to age well.

18. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is absolutely not here for ageism. She told People magazine in 2019, “I really love that there are advocates out there in the world being very vocal about the fact that aging is not a slow march to irrelevancy, death, and decay.” And in her digitally aged picture, there’s not a hint of any of those things!

17. Cardi B

Cardi B had a go at the FaceApp aging filter; in 2019 she did the #FaceAppChallenge but didn’t seem overly impressed with the results. The rapper deleted her picture in the end, but she’s not the only one curious about what she might look like in the future. Chances are Cardi will still have a super cool aesthetic.

16. Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’o is considered one of the most gorgeous women living right now. In 2014 — fresh off her award-winning performance in 12 Years a Slave — she was named the most beautiful woman in the world by People magazine. Will she still be so lovely a few decades down the line? Well, it’s safe to say the answer is yes.

15. Miley Cyrus

Since Miley Cyrus is noted for her wild-child ways, it’s hard to imagine her as an elderly woman, right? But the star herself has used FaceApp to see what she may look like older. Fans reacted with both shock and amusement when Cyrus posted the pic. One said she looked like her mother Tish, and another wittily dubbed her “Nana Montana.”

14. Prince William and Kate Middleton

One day, Prince William and Kate Middleton will be King and Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, respectively. And this is what they might look like when that happens! The couple will probably have a while to wait, you see. Queen Elizabeth is still very much on the throne, and after her, Prince Charles will get the crown.

13. Jennifer Lopez

Believe it or not, Jennifer Lopez is in her 50s now and looks like the picture on the left, not the right. Yes, really. She credits her age-defying looks to good diet, frequent workouts, and getting plenty of sleep. And, of course, Lopez looks fantastic even in the digitally aged-up photo.

12. Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke is happy to age gracefully. She told Elle magazine in 2021, “At 34, I am wiser, more intelligent, I’ve had more experiences, I’ve done all this stuff and I’m proud of that. You can only do that because you are the age you are. Time is the only thing [that] allows you to do those things. So, if my face is gonna reflect the time that I’ve spent on this earth, I’m down for that.”

11. Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston plans to keep playing Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for as long as needed. Perhaps one day we’ll get a Loki who looks like the image on the right! But that wouldn’t be a bad thing, since Hiddleston young or old will probably always have a devoted fanbase.

10. Lizzo

Lizzo has been a very strong advocate for body positivity for a long time, though the singer told Vogue that she now prefers to be considered “body normative.” So, chances are that Lizzo wouldn’t ever try to reverse or halt her natural aging process. But according to FaceApp’s technology at least, she’ll still look really good anyway!

9. Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy has an incredibly young-looking face. And maybe that is down to her eyes. They’re very large and bold, and mean schoolmates used to compare her to a fish because of them. Taylor-Joy is now a beautiful woman, and that beauty looks like it’s going to last her into old age, too.

8. Zendaya

Zendaya hates that magazines use Photoshop to remove blemishes or make a person look thinner. She believes — as many do —that doing so promotes an unrealistic or even dangerous body image. So, when Zendaya grows old, you can bet she won’t let anyone Photoshop her wrinkles out. And why should they?

7. Benedict Cumberbatch

In 2017 it was announced that Benedict Cumberbatch would be playing the lead in a film called How To Stop Time, which is about a 400-year-old man who looks 41. It’ll be interesting to see what digital aging effects the film uses with Cumberbatch — if any — but in the meantime check out what FaceApp makes of him!

6. Shakira

Shakira is another one of those celebs who just doesn’t seem to age. She’s in her 40s now and has had two children alongside an amazing, active career. In fact, she still looks barely past her 20s. It’s surprising FaceApp didn’t just break when trying to age progress the star!

5. David Beckham

In 2020 David Beckham was purposefully aged up for a short film raising awareness of malaria. In it, he was shown with a gray beard as he promoted the idea of malaria being defeated for good in 30 years. FaceApp also gave the former soccer star a gray beard, and he looks great!

4. Dua Lipa

It’ll be a long time until Dua Lipa can be considered old, and she’s taken full advantage of that. She went on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show in 2020 and interviewed elderly people to see if they knew who she was, and plenty of them didn’t. But when Lipa looks like the image on the right — where the star still doesn’t look old — will she know all the younger singers?

3. Amy Adams

Award-winning actress Amy Adams told The Times Magazine in 2016, “Once you turn 40, you begin to meet a new person in the mirror every morning. I say, ‘Oh, hello. I know you.’ You can repair yourself, but it takes a little longer. Hopefully, I can continue acting as my face continues to fall south.” But that’s probably not what it’s going to do!

2. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

You may have noticed that royal family members seem to live for a long time. Prince Philip was very nearly 100 years old when he passed away, and the Queen Mother was 101 when she died in 2002. Chances are, then, that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will easily reach the ages depicted in this photo on the right!

1. Jared Leto

Jared Leto attended the 2019 Met Gala carrying a model of his own severed head. Then he decided to stick a photograph of it into FaceApp and age up not only himself, but the fake beheaded Jared as well. Ah, to be a celebrity with time on your hands…
